Welcome to Dollar Books Club (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our website, services, or subscription model, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”).

Please read them carefully before accessing or using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Dollar Books Club’s services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use our services. By
signing up, you confirm that you meet this eligibility requirement.

3. Subscription Service

Dollar Books Club operates as a subscription-based service providing access to books under
the following terms:

  • Membership Start Date: Your subscription begins on the day you sign up and complete
    payment.
  • Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, as chosen by you during
    signup.
  • Recurring Billing: Your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of
    each billing cycle until you cancel.
  • Book Delivery: Books will be shipped to you within 5-7 days from the date your
    subscription starts and on the same schedule for each subsequent billing cycle. Delivery
    timelines may vary slightly depending on shipping conditions.
  • Delivery Notifications: Subscribers will receive an email notification 7 business days
    before their next billing date, reminding them of their upcoming delivery.
    • You will have 3 calendar days from receipt of this email to:
      • Update your chosen book genre preferences.
      • Cancel your subscription.
      • Skip a month.
  • Shipping Confirmation: Once your package ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Tracking details will also be automatically uploaded to your order details page and your profile for easy access.
  • Cancellations: You can cancel your subscription anytime through your account dashboard. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

4. Condition of Books

Subscribers acknowledge and agree that:

  • The books provided through Dollar Books Club are gently used and will be in very
    good condition.
  • Books may show minor cosmetic imperfections such as slight wear, small creases, or
    other typical signs of previous ownership
  • No water damage, tears, missing pages, or other significant defects will be present
    in the books.
  • By subscribing, you accept that used books naturally exhibit some degree of wear, which
    does not affect the readability or usability of the book.

5. Replacement Guarantee

We take pride in delivering high-quality books to our subscribers. If you receive a damaged item or a repeated book during your subscription period, you are eligible for a free replacement under the following conditions:

  • Damaged Items: If a book arrives with water damage, missing pages, or other
    unacceptable defects, you must report the issue within 7 days of receiving it.
  • Repeated Books: If you receive a book that you have already received in a previous
    subscription box, you must report the duplication within 7 days of receiving it.
  • Process: To claim a replacement, contact us at info@dollarbooksclub.com with a
    photo of the damaged item or proof of repetition, along with your order details.
  • Resolution: Upon verification, we will ship a replacement book to you at no additional
    cost.

6. User Accounts

To access our services, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.

7. Pricing and Payment

  • Payment Method: The credit/debit card you provide will be used for all future purchases and charges, including membership renewals.
    • You must keep a valid credit/debit card on file during the term of your
      membership and provide accurate member information, including your name,
      address, credit/debit card number, and expiration date.
    • You agree that we may update your information with details supplied by your bank or credit card issuer.
    • If you wish to change your credit/debit card, you can do so by visiting the Payment Info page in the account section of our website.
    • We will continue to apply charges to your saved payment method unless you update your preferences in your account, notify Member Services, or your bank or credit card issuer supplies updated information.
    • We accept payments by credit/debit card, including American Express, VISA, Discover, and MasterCard.
  • Payment Authorization:
    • If we cannot process a charge to your saved card (e.g., the card has expired or authorization is denied), we may attempt to charge any other card you have on file with us to prevent a disruption to your membership.
    • We are not responsible for any fees or charges applied by your bank or credit/debit card issuer as a result of declined or attempted charges.
  • Failed Payments:
    • If your card issuer reverses a charge to your card, we may suspend or cancel your membership and halt the fulfillment of your orders until payment is resolved.
    • In such cases, we may seek payment via an alternate method, such as sending a mailed statement.
  • Credit Reporting:
    • We may report information about your account, including unpaid balances, to credit bureaus if payment issues are not resolved.
  • Membership Continuity:
    • It is your responsibility to ensure your payment information is accurate and up to date to maintain an active membership and avoid any interruptions in service.

8. Refund Policy

Dollar Books Club does not offer refunds for partially used subscription periods. Exceptions may apply in case of billing errors.

9. Content and Intellectual Property

  • All books, materials, and related content available through our services are protected by copyright laws.
  • Users are granted a limited, non-transferable license to access the content for personal use only.
  • You may not distribute, reproduce, or resell any content without express permission.

10. Prohibited Activities

When using Dollar Books Club, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempt to interfere with the operation of our website or services.
  • Share account access with others.

11. Service Modifications

Dollar Books Club reserves the right to modify or discontinue the service, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice.

12. Termination of Account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or other policies.

13. Limitation of Liability

Dollar Books Club is not liable for:

  • Any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from your use of the service.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of New Jersey.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective upon
posting on our website. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
